Roger Davis Awarded MBE

Congratulations Roger!

Past-President and long-serving member of NACO, Roger Davis, has been awarded an MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honors.

The award application had wide-ranging support from the co-operative movement as well as Roger’s local MPs - all recognising his enormous contribution to co-operatives, co-operation and the many community projects he has been involved with.

Roger has been active in the co-operative movement for over 20 years; working for the Co-operative Group, as an active member of NACO; even sitting on the board of a credit union.

As a keen trade unionist, Roger’s involvement with NACO spans many years. He is the only person to have been NACO President for 3 terms, most recently in 2007/08, and has taken on almost every other role in the union - sitting on the NACO General Council, the Co-operative Group Council, the General Purposes Committee and the South West & Wales Constituency Association.

Neil Buist comments  "I would like to congratulate Roger on all his achievements on behalf of the NACO Executive, staff team and all our members"
